Off-Campus Access – VPN
The Hasan Kalyoncu University VPN service allows students and staff outside the campus network to establish a secure, encrypted connection to institutional resources.
1. When Is VPN Required?
- When accessing library electronic databases (YOK, Web of Science, Scopus, IEEE, Springer, etc.) from off-campus.
- When access is needed to intranet-restricted applications such as SAP and EBYS.
- When using software that must connect to a license server (MATLAB, SPSS, ANSYS, etc.).
- For remote desktop, server management, and network share operations.
OBS, OYS, institutional email, and Google Drive services work directly over the internet; VPN is not required for these.
