Hasan Kalyoncu University campus network infrastructure provides an integrated offering of 1 Gbps central backbone, eduroam-supported campus Wi-Fi, a segregated guest network, wired access, and VPN services for remote access. Traffic is protected by a network firewall, IDS/IPS, and end-to-end encryption.

How to Apply
Account Activation
After being registered by HR or Student Affairs, complete your first login at portal.hku.edu.tr and set your password. Details: BIM.TL.02.
Device Registration
To connect your personal device (BYOD) to HKU-WiFi, register it under BIM.PR.26. Disk encryption (BIM.TL.06) and 2FA (BIM.TL.03) are mandatory.
If You Need VPN
For off-campus access, open a VPN request at destek.hku.edu.tr; after approval, install FortiClient following BIM.TL.04.

Yes. Devices registered under BIM.PR.26 can connect to HKU-WiFi. Your device must have disk encryption (BIM.TL.06) and 2FA (BIM.TL.03) enabled.
Yes. More than 5,000 universities worldwide are eduroam members. You can connect automatically to the campus you visit using your HKU username (firstname.lastname@hku.edu.tr) and password.
Most library databases open via the library proxy (lib.hku.edu.tr links). For resources only accessible from campus IP addresses, you need to use VPN from off-campus.
In order: (1) restart your device, (2) try a different Wi-Fi access point, (3) open a ticket at destek.hku.edu.tr. BIM can perform a real-time speed measurement via the network monitoring panel.
